Fiction

I’ve produced a German trilogy – Without Kings – following the lives of teenage kids in Germany from 1923 to 1949 (so far). I’m also reworking a novel about the 1907 Bolshevik bank heist in Tiflis, Georgia (now Tbilisi), trying to find the right narrator and simplify the multitude of names (they’ll all be called Geoff, even the women).

Forthcoming titles will be a departure from historical, into speculative, satirical and ‘dystopian historical’ (new genre) and I may well use a pen name.

Bathing Country – A story of love and teenage rebellion in Nazi Germany >>

Little Valkyrie – A perilous journey from Ravensbrück into the wreckage of the Reich >>
